This is my first reporting from Directions EMEA this year. I’ve arrived in Mannheim two days earlier because of my other obligations and I registered yesterday after rain stopped, but this is actually first day of Directions EMEA 2015. Keynote is finished and from this moment, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 is generally available.

Group of Microsoft Dynamics Program Managers with Marko Perisic as leader, made an awesome job on scene. They presented the most important news in new NAV release very effective. Of course, guys from Continia also made amazing show in second part of Keynote with their new solution. Now, other sessions are starting and we can see lot of news and interesting things.

On Keynote scene we could see NAV Mobile App, a lot of new Web Client features, e-service exchange in practice, natively CRM Online integration, natively NAV reporting in Power BI,… I don’t want to write about all news now. I will write about them, one by one in few following posts.

Now, I only want to say that you can download new NAV now from this Partner Source link and let’s driving start. Now nothing else about NAV 2016 is not by NDA.

Be the First Who Passed the New NAV Exam

Just to be sure that you are not forgotten, new Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 will be launched in only two weeks.

If you attend to NAVUG Summit in Reno this October, you can be really the first who passed the new NAV exam and show your expertise in Dynamics NAV 2015 Core Application Setup. It is not too late to register yourself here.

If you will not attend NAVUG Summit, maybe you will be in Orlando later the same moth – October 25-28 on Directions NA. You will have the same opportunity and you can register yourself here. In this situation, you will not be the first, but one of the first for sure.

This exam is prepared by a large number of NAV experts all around the world and I think it is a good chance to check your knowledge about NAV 2015.

New Dynamics NAV Blog Suites

The fall is always very interesting period in NAV world. This is period when we will get a new NAV release (this year – Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016). In this period, we have the most of the conferences, as well; Directions EMEA, Directions NA, NAV TechDays, NAVUG Summit, Convergence EMEA…

But this year we have additional news. Microsoft has migrated to a new NAV blog platform. New blog platform look really perfect as other Dynamics platforms (MSDN for example). You can go to the blog on https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/nav/. Hope you will share my opinion.

Bank Data Conversion Service for NAV 2015

Few months ago, when I wrote about Posting Groups and Payment Posting, I got a few comments about some related topic. This topic was a Bank Data Conversion Service for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 as part of the improved reconciliation capabilities. This service hosted on Microsoft Azure is delivered by AMC Consult A/S and provides automatic processes fro electronic payments, payment reconciliation and bank account reconciliation in NAV.

I didn’t have enough time to write about this topic, but now Microsoft has published article about this topic. Sorry to my followers because I didn’t finish it faster then Microsoft, but I can help them with relations to information. You can find a lot of information and additional documents (pptx and videos) on Partner Source: https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource/global/readiness-training/readiness-training-news/BankDataConversionServicebyAMCConsult.

New Dynamics Logos

Microsoft has decided to change Dynamics logos in the spirit of “One Microsoft” idea. This change has made on July 30. All partners have to use these new logos when represent Microsoft Dynamics logo and solutions. All directions are in the Product Tile Usage Guidelines.

On some places on internet, you can find a small mistake. You can find “CS” instead of “C5”. This error is most likely caused on MicrosoftDynamicsPartnerGuidelines.pptx (slide 21) from Partner Source. But, you can find actual logos on this page on Partner Source: https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource/northamerica/sales-marketing/branding-guidelines-logos/MSDY_BoxShots. You can download all of them as PNG or EPS. I hope, Microsoft will correct this small mistake in document, because this pptx is very useful. You can find a lot of additional helpful information here.
